it has been a while… sometimes life swoops you away from your passions, and you just have to live through your reality and recalibrate things… or maybe i’m just a virgo (i <3 being a hermit). it has been a heavy year in terms of the astrology… so many things are dying and being born out of the dust, and sometimes you just have to sit with it all… many things have changed since the start of march and we are here now… sorry for this being a little late… i’m still getting the hang of it all again.

we ended last month in the heat of the powerful full moon in sagittarius on the 31st. this full moon opened up opportunities and the space for surprises to flood in. it definitely brought the fire out for sure. in the space between this full moon and the new moon in gemini on the 14th be in your power, refuse to let evil forces win, and be protective.

on the first mercury enters cancer, where it will later go retrograde later this month (enters shadow on june 13, starts on june 23, ends on july 23, leaves shadow on august 6). this is a good time to think about changes you can make for the emotional well-being of both you and other beings, catching up on inner world musings, and tending to the home.

from the 2nd to the 3rd do activities that require imagination, exploration, and connection with the self. stay steady as you walk the line.

the 4th through 6th have very imaginative—yet slightly restrictive—energy. avoid falling into frustrative blocks. open pathways for positive energy to flow to you.

allow yourself to cling to comfort as we end and begin a new week on the 7th and 8th. connect with magic and spiritual relaxation prior to bed.

on the 9th is the blessed meeting of venus and jupiter in cancer. it is a big day for growth and emotional expansion. blessings for the home. considerations for the effort put forward. the understanding of your courage. tend to the home, to the body, to the heart. nurture those who pour into you. the 10th and 11th get a little more hectic. do not lose touch with the energies of the heart. outward voices may be loud at this time, do not let them conquer you. do not forget to take care of the self! on the 12th direct energy towards tending to the earth. don’t be too stingy.

on the 13th venus enters the sign of leo while making a harsh aspect (square) to the asteroid chiron, representing the archetype of the wounded healer. things may feel very bold on this day, reminding the healer of where they have and haven’t healed and where they must direct their healing energy next. don’t forget to let yourself have fun! use the powers of venus in leo to create!!!!!!! to birth anew from the body. chiron is delivering it’s last few messages from it’s time in the sign of aries before it enters taurus on the 19th… although this entering is not permanent, as chiron will retrograde back into aries on september 18th where it will remain until april 17th… this will then be the end of chiron in aries until it comes around again in 2077. chiron first entered aries back in april 2018 (pheeeeeewwwwwwwww it has been a WHILE), starting a new cycle (as aries is the first sign) and taking one on a raw journey of feeling and healing. the house that aries rules in your chart (your first house is always your rising sign) is the area where the journey is wrapping up. the house that taurus rules is the emotional journey you’re going on next.

i wish i had a source for this, but i would say this is a really good view of the houses that includes both modern and traditional ways of viewing the houses (but it leans more modern).
a traditional view of the houses taken from the yavanajataka (originally written in greece around 120 ce and was transcribed in india around 270 ce).
a cheat sheet given to reddit user zombieseatpez1’s dad from an unknown and now deceased astrologer in 1993. a more holistic view of the houses.
i wish i had a source for this as well, but these are the houses from a vedic astrology perspective.

some people are purists, but i personally think it’s so interesting seeing and considering how things develop, grow, and change over time or from place to place. there are some house systems throughout different systems that will have planets or signs as rulers of particular houses, which you are welcome to use, but i personally avoid getting too tangled up in, as the houses originally did not have rulers, leading to there being many different opinions about what planets/signs rule what house. i just couldn’t vibe with any of them fully, so i find eliminating them just works better for me. if you are skilled you can tell that some of the house systems i included here are influenced by systems that consider planets/signs to rule houses. it’s just how people prefer to read the houses in this modern era and you will come across this everywhere throughout systems. it was something that was very confusing for me as a beginner astrologer, hence why i’m touching on it. recently i’ve been interested in the hellenistic concept of planetary joys and of course consider the traditional idea of planetary rulers (if virgo is your first house then mercury, the ruling planet of virgo, rules your first house).

the 14th is the new moon in gemini, bringing out mischievous and even a bit rebellious energies. dabble in the fun but stay steady. be innovative. learn something new. read a book. use your brain. have a deep conversation. connect.

on the 15th, the explorative and mischievous vibes continue, but the moon shifts into the sign of cancer while squaring neptune in aries… be in touch with the fantasy without getting lost within traps of emotions and frustration. cleanse the energy. feed the soul.
